The red, ochre and yellow ancestral terroirs of Sicily gave Cos winery something so special that they decided to handle the grapes naturally. Cos lets the grapes ferment spontaneously on the skins -using indigenous yeasts- in terracotta amphorae buried in the ground. The clay of the of 440 litres amphorae is porous like oak but the advantage with clay is that it gives no taste or flavour to the wine, while the wine still breathes.

WineJus & wanderlust

Travel isn’t something we just want to do. It is something we need to do. We are self confessed sufferers from wanderlust, this relentless urge to keep moving. In away it is similar to the urge of a winelover. To find something extraordinary, to find something unsampled. This is the result of curiosity. The impulse to seek new information and experiences and explore fresh possibilities. With travel comes the understanding of how things came to be. Anyway, the journey changes you. Needless to say that travel can be awfully complicated and that it isn’t always comfortable, but there are lots of rewards on the way and often a bit of magic too.

The best thing you can do is to take travel as is, and to recognize its beauty. To create your own range of stories, just as we do at Winejus. Get on your way, connect, because travel is what ignites us all.

Travel stories

An important part of the travel experience are travel stories. An beautiful image may work as a snapshot, but in the eyes of many not always convey a true impression of a travel experience. We hope our stories have a quiet power to evoke a place and time, are a reminder of the way travel can open the mind and the heart.

Some will tell us that we are mad travellers, we don’t care. We just hope you’ll gently absorb the essence of the Winejus experience, that our stories and insights create a resonance,  give you ideas or something to long for.
